One Chinese Moon door Jock Tuzo Wilson
Travel memoir, recounting a month spent in China by a Canadian Professor of Geophysics, in 1958 - fairly heavy on the science facilities visited but good overall impressions of developments in China within 10 years of the Communist takeover. Apparently the Romanisation of Chinese script was being actively considered, though of course that did not eventually happen.
