I got this by mistake, because I thought it was the full-length book on Zelazny by his boyhood friend Carl Yoke, also published in 1979. In fact it's a slim pamphlet - only 26 pages - published by the Ohio library system to publicise two of their state's best known sf authors (though as Yoke points out others from there include Harlan Ellison and Stephen Donaldson). I have a couple of other books on Zelazny by Theodore Krulik and Jane Lindskold, but actually I think this is pretty good value, with insightful analysis of Zelazny's use of the hero theme in his works.
