This book's title is misleading. It's not really about the general field of logic as implied by its title. I would say the book is more specialized to the subfield of Theorem Proving. But "Logic for Theorem Proving for Dummies" is a bit less likely to grab people. :-P

Needless to say, this is a very specialized field - even at the dummies level! That said, I found the book to be pretty well written although there were a few mistakes and a few things that could have been explained better. But on the whole, pretty well written. I'm not aware of any better introduction to the subject.… (meer)

I used this to review math concepts before my first college math course (actually my first math course in over 25 years). The first half was probably TOO basic (number lines, addition, etc.) but the rest was helpful and made me feel a bit more prepared to move on to an algebra review.

I used this book to refresh my understanding of integrals and calculus two in general. I'm not sure how effective it would be at teaching you the subject from scratch, but it is an decent resource if you forgot a few things.
