Librarything beautiful as it is remains very much in the realm of the hardcopy, yet the fact that LT is a successful online community focused on written literature can somtimes miss the point that 'written literature' now exists outside of the limits of a bound set of pages, and how this does and will effect the concept of 'The book' as a physical entity.

The effect on creative literature gathers momentum with growing numbers of authors producing work specifically for reading via the web.
