Auction catalog; A catalogue of curious and valuable books, belonging to the late reverend & learned, Mr. Ebenezer Pemberton, consisting of divinity, philosophy, history, poetry, &c. Generally well bound, to be sold by auction, at the Crown Coffee-House in Boston, the second day of July 1717. Boston: Printed by B. Green, and may be had gratis, at the shop of Samuel Gerrish, bookseller, near the Old Meeting-House in Boston, (1717). Evans 1921.

McKay notes that the catalogue and a newspaper advertisement in The Boston News-Letter of 24 June 1717 note that the sale would be held at the Crown Coffee-House, while a 1 July 1717 advertisement in the same paper advertise the sale at the Royal Exchange, King Street (Boston). An 8 July 1717 advertisement, also in The Boston News-Letter, offers the "remainder" of Pemberton's library for sale on that date, at the Royal Exchange.
Newspaper notice (27 May 1717): "There is now in the Press a Catalogue of the Library belonging to the late Reverend Mr. Ebenezer Pemberton, which is one of the most Curious and Valuable Collections of Books, that has been yet seen among us, which Catalogue may be had at Mr. Samuel Gerrish Bookseller's Shop in Cornhill near the Brick Meeting-House, Boston, And it is proposed to Sell the said Books in the Commencement Week, July next."
Newspaper advertisement (24 June 1717): "To be Sold by Auction, at the Crown-Coffee House in Boston, The Library of the Late Reverend and Learned Mr. Ebenezer Pemberton, being a Collection of Curious and Valuable Books of Divinity, Philosophy, History, Poetry, &c. together with a Number of Manuscripts, and Pamphlets. The Sale to begin the Second of July, at 3 a Clock, afternoon. The Books may be seen at the House of the late Reverend Mr. Pemberton, the 25th Day of June, and so until the day of Sale. The Catalogue being Printed are to be had Gratis at the Shop of Mr. Samuel Gerrish Bookseller, near the Old Meeting House in Corn Hill, Boston."
