Waldstein: 1905-01. 1st travel book. In fact, the only typical travel book WSM ever wrote, sightseeing and purple patch galore. Subtitled "Sketches and Impressions in Andalusia".

Waldstein: 1922-10-05. 2nd travel book. Actually a random collection of 58 sketches inspired by a sojourn to China. The only book WSM dedicated to his wife. New preface for The Collected Edition (1935).

Waldstein: 1930-02. 3rd travel book. Or, rather, a strange hybrid between travel book, short story collection and a bunch of essays. New preface for The Collected Edition (1935).

Waldstein: 1935-06-17; rev. edn. with new preface, 1950 (possibly 1937 for The Collected Edition). Not a travel book (as is sometimes called) at all, but a collection of essays on the Golden Age of Spain.

Waldstein: 1938-01-06. WSM's most personal book. Unique spiritual autobiography.

Waldstein: 1940-03-18. Little propaganda book to make the world aware of the French war effort.

Waldstein: 1940-03-18. Three articles from the Saturday Evening Post collected together. Reading recommendations on English (I), continental (II) and American (III) literature. Important preface by WSM written especially for the book.

Waldstein: 1941-09-03, limited edition signed by WSM; trade edition published two days later. Little anti-propaganda book written as an antidote to France at War. Priceless for serious students of the author.

Waldstein: 1949-10-03. Collection of notes taken between 1892 and 1941. Postscript added in 1944 and augmented in 1949. Preface written for the book.

Waldstein: 1952-10-27. Six essays.

Waldstein: 1958-11-03. Five essays.

Waldstein: 1954-09-27. Omnibus = The Summing Up (#5) + A Writer's Notebook (#10). New preface by WSM.

Waldstein: 1955-11-28. Omnibus = On a Chinese Screen (#2) + The Gentleman in the Parlour (#3) + Don Fernando (#4). New preface by WSM; the part about Don Fernando is unique, the rest is rehash of the prefaces for The Collected Edition written some 20 years earlier.

Waldstein: 1962-04-09. The last book by WSM published during his lifetime. An art album of his collection of paintings with short commentaries.

Waldstein: 1946-04. An address given by WSM on 20 April, 1946, in the Coolidge Auditorium, Library of Congress, on the occasion of his presenting the original manuscript of Of Humnan Bondage. Closely related to his National Book League lecture from 1951 (see next item).

Waldstein: 1951. Ninth Annual Lecture of the National Book League, given by Maugham in Kingsway Hall, London, on 24 October, 1951.

Waldstein: 1962-06/08. WSM's notorious memoirs. Parts serialised on both sides of the Pond, but never published complete in book form.

Waldstein: 1984. The only (mostly) non-fiction book of WSM published posthumously. Collects 65 pieces spanning 63 years (including four short stories, three pre-WWI and "The Buried Talent" from 1934). Not without some suspicious omissions or curious inclusions, but still invaluable for the serious student of Maugham.
