Lighthouse books discussion

I'm creating this group since I have a life long interest in lighthouses. Only recently though I began to acquire more books about this subject and I was surprised there were so many books available online. A quick search on Amazon.com showed 20.000 titles in the books department...

Before I started buying more books about lighthouses I googled to find a list of very good books about the subject. A list I found was from Marine Insight and contained 12 books from which I list the first nine:

1. Lighthouse: An Illuminating History of the World’s Coastal Sentinels, by R. G. Grant
2. Lighthouse of the World: A Celebration of the World’s Most Beautiful Lighthouses, by Lisa Purcell
3. Brilliant Beacons: A History of the American Lighthouse, by Eric Jay Dolin
4. The Lighthouse Stevensons, by Bella Bathurst
5. Guardians of the Lights: Stories of U.S. Lighthouse Keepers, by Elinor De Wire
6. The Lighthouse Encyclopaedia: The Definitive Reference (Lighthouse Series), by Ray Jones
7. Seashaken Houses, by Tom Nancollas
8. Lighthouses of North America: Beacons from Coast to Coast, by Sylke Jackson
9. American Lighthouses: A Comprehensive Guide to Exploring Our National Coastal Treasures, by Bruce Roberts and Cheryl Shelton Roberts

So far I've read 5 of those but I also purchased (and read) other books. You can find the books in my library with the tag 'Lighthouse'.

So I wonder if there's any interest to start this group.
What are your best books about lighthouses?
Why do you read about lighthouses?

Cheers,
Martin
p.s. the group picture is Corbière Lighthouse on the island of Jersey, a photo I took when I was there in July 2010.
