I'm a sucker for a good story.
I like a book to draw me in, with the first sentence, the first page, the first chapter. It's a linear experience, after all.
Well, one exception to that statement is under the tag "one-of-a-kind", my most favourite book, that I also never finished, because I couldn't get through the final pages (never seen a novel before with an index).

I love to read. Always have. Favourite birthday present as a child? Easy, always a book.

What else. Female. Born in 1967. Married, to DH. Dutch is my mother tongue, although I prefer to read a novel in its original language where I can.

I recently (at the time of writing this) moved from Goodreads to LibraryThing.
