The room the builders thought was a master bedroom is my library, though the formal bookcases still need to be designed and built. Mostly paperbacks -- I love hardcovers but unless they're anthologies they consume a lot more shelf space.

Special collection: Have an almost complete set of Andre Norton first-edition paperbacks; a less expensive game than trying to collect the hardcovers, and even in paperback it approaches 10 shelf-feet.

SF/fantasy reader and fan since 8th grade (I found Andre Norton's _X Factor_ at a time when I was feeling very much an outsider). Some reference and art books. I'll read other genres when I get a recommendation I trust or don't have spec fic available.

Filk (sic) singer, and occasional writer of song or poetry in that community. Software engineer, retired as of this writing but that's subject to change.
