Over mijn bibliotheek

If you have stumbled upon my library here and think that you might be a bosom buddy (as my friend the author Megan Saben says), feel free to reach out to me. Whenever The Plague skulks away, it might be possible to browse my books in person if you have an interest. Until such time, if you have quick questions about data that I might have in one of my books, please message me. I have several areas of focus for my library: cookbooks (particularly food history, vintage cookbooks, food science, and international cuisine), Christianity (theology geek/scholarly), Mennonite history, history in general, abuse/complex PTSD, Spanish-language children's books, Kansas, Judaism, and crafting. My taste leans far more toward non-fiction, but I also have a love for science fiction, fantasy, and certain cozy mysteries. A lot of my friends are authors and their books are marked as such in my library. Improving my library on LibraryThing (including tagging my books) brings me great joy, but shopping for books is an even greater thrill. I am trying to work my way through my to-be-read pile, but the more I read, the more books I buy.

Over mij

Christian, Kansan in exile, former homeschooler, lifelong learner, domestic artist (cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, photography, gardening, etc.), professional geek, scientist, from survivor to thriver. Mennonite by ethnicity; I view myself now as a Tanakh-loving, high-church (smells and bells and chasubles) Mennonite.
