Those listed are just the ones on the front of my bookshelves, most of which are three deep. There are countless more in boxes and crates waiting for me to invest in some more shelving. All the books with star ratings are ones I have read and enjoyed. The un-rated ones are still waiting to be read. There are a few non-fiction books which would be classed, by specialists in their field as fiction, however, as they are written as non-fiction, that is how I have classified them.

Book loving, bell ringing family historian from North West England. What I like to read depends on my mood. My 'comfort books' are "Persuasion" by Jane Austen, "A Bloody Field by Shrewsbury" by Edith Pargeter and, for some reason, "The Man in the Brown Suit" by Agatha Christie. I've just finished reading the wonderful "War Stories" by Jeremy Bowen and "Christine, SOE Agent & Churchill's favourite Spy" by Madeleine Masson. Next on the bedside table is "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini.
