Over mij
I work in communications in government (providing communications advice, as well as writing and editing).

Before getting a government job, I spent 13 years in the book business. You can sort of tell those 13 years by the number of books I have from the late 1980s to late 1990s. Sadly, I don't read as much now as I used to. I also don't know what the current book landscape looks like anymore.

The reason I got into the book biz back in 1988 was that I had two degrees that are considered sort of useless outside of academia (except in government, for which I am now grateful... government pays more that the academic world, too). I have a B.A. and an M.A. in Religious Studies (the non-confessional study of religion; it is not the same as a theology degree).

I specialised in western religions and philosophy of religion. You can see that reflected in much of my library (although I don't read much about religion anymore). You can see my other, later interests, too (children's books, fiction, crime).
