Over mij

From an early age, I have been an avid reader/writer. Because reading and writing were my passion, it seemed only natural for me to study English in college, where I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees.

After my higher education was complete, I went to work in the communications field. For nearly 25 years, I have worked as a communications professional.

In my spare time, I research family history. For two decades, I have gathered information on more than 10,000 people in our families' combined family trees. Many of these ancestors were just ordinary people living ordinary lives, Since history has often omitted their tales, I decided they needed to be told. Since March 2011, I have been sharing their stories through my blog.

In the past few years, I have included some personal perspectives in my blog, including my published poems, this-is-my-life stories, and (most recently) book reviews.
