Whisker, The Waggly-Tailed Puppy

On one particular beautiful morning, I was eager to play, like I am most every day. But on this day, things just didn’t quite come together and I ended up feeling so sad. But, I learned that even though we go through disappointments, we don’t have to stay disappointed. But mostly, I learned that I am special, beautiful, and loved just the way I am. This is my story and I hope to share it with you all. And I hope it will help you love and embrace your unique authentic self.

Monte loves literature, movies, television and nearly any form of artistic communication and story-telling. She is a licensed clinical social worker and mental health professional, with a passion to help improve the quality of the lives of people through the empowerment found by overcoming adversity, whether the source of adversity is situational, environmental, biological, medical, or internal. Monte received her BA in English from UCLA, in 2008 and her Masters in Social Welfare from UCLA, in 2011. Monte also loves all animals and has received her dog trainer certification from Animal Behavior College.
