Over mijn bibliotheek

Initially, I used this utility only to keep track of my cookbooks--they represented a smallish portion of my private library, but when I moved my household, I checked out my collection to individually barcoded boxes to keep track of where everything was until I could get them unpacked again. So, in a roundabout way, I've cataloged pretty much everything I own, with the main purpose now being an attempt to prevent the purchase of duplicates (theoretically anyway...).

Over mij

I'm a professional Librarian by education and experience. I live in Michiana (Region) and travel in Europe whenever I have the opportunity. And, while I believe my personal library speaks volumes (pardon the pun) about my interests, the presence of certain titles and authors in my collection shouldn't be construed as an endorsement. Sometimes they're catalysts for critical engagement...after all, the best libraries have an "enfer" section.
