Over mijn bibliotheek
I had a library. I surrendered it to the children and now it's a Lego room.

Over mij
I'm a wife, a mother of two boys, aged five and seven, I work full-time and I'm in my third year of full-time bachelor studies. And I'm not even tired!

I'm challenging myself to read 50 books in 2012, which I'm going to keep track of right here (I'm giving myself a head-start and beginning in mid-December. Whatever, it's my game):
1. This Rough New Land - I remember enjoying this series as a pre-teen. As an adult, not so much.
2. Our Changing Lives
3. These Years of Promise
4. Hunger Games - Did not enjoy
5. Innocent Traitor - Really enjoyed
6. The Queen's Fool - Interesting. Not sure if I enjoyed it, per se.
7. Stealing Fire - I didn't love it like I did Black Ships, but it was still good.
8. The Book of Lists - Canadian Edition: I love lists!
9. The Virgin's Lover - my least favourite of Gregory's. This was my 3rd try at finishing it. It's so boring!
10. The Help - it was easy to read if nothing else. There was no apex, no climax. I found it uneventful.
11. Hand of Isis - very interesting. My knowledge of Egyptian history was tiny, so I was fascinated.
12. The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir - writing style went back and forth between sounding historical and sounding like a text book, but I LOVED it anyway. So interesting.
13. The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening by LJ Smith. I read these in jr high so I'm revisiting.
14. The Vampire Diaries 2
15. The Vampire Diaries 3
16. Bathroom Reader
17. Bedlam: History of London's Mad
18. I Was Jane Austen's Best Friend (too YA for me)
19. The Secret Lives of Saints
20. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (I read the whole series about once a year. I just love them so much).
21. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
22. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
24. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
25. Big Bathroom Reader
26. The Best of Archie Comics
27. Room (hmm...)
28. Hunger Games (this time with interest)
29. Catching Fire
30. Mockingjay
31. Sisterhood Everlasting - cried through the entire book. So sad!
32. Best of Archie Comics part 2
33. Fifty Shades of Grey - not as shitty as I thought it would be. Certainly better written than Twilight!
34. Choices: Interviewing and Counselling Skills for Canadians - text for school
35. Fifty Shades Darker
36. Fifty Shades Free - yeah, I read all three.
37. Best of Archie Comics Volume Two - what can I say? I love Archie.
38. Research Methods for Social Workers - Whee!
39. The Casual Vacancy
40. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
41. Percy Jackson #2
42. Percy Jackson #3
43. Percy Jackson #4
44. Percy Jackson #5
45. The Lost Hero #1
46. Metamaus
47. The Oxford Project
48. The Lost Hero #2
49.
50.

Well, since today is January 31st I guess I didn't meet my goal. I'm not disappointed, however, as my list doesn't include countless research articles and journals read for university.

I think I'll try again next year!
