Sadly I had to downsize my library when I retired because I downsized my surrounding into a one bedroom apartment; however, I was delighted to pass-on many books to other book lovers both friends and family and to the local public library. I will admit that I did choose bookshelves over some other furniture because I was had to include books that I really value/want to re-read or simply can't let go of. Although my library contains many classics, thrillers, fiction and non-fiction texts, I do seem to have a focus now on historical fiction esp. those that center on WWII. While I often share some of my books, I'm selective with both books and borrowers and some books are on my no-lend-list.

Of course, I love to read and have diverse,reading interests but tend to lean towards historical fiction especially novels whose focus is rest in the 1930s and 40s. I'm sort of retired after a 40 year passion: teaching which most of it was comprised of teaching community college English mostly freshman comp. ("sort of retired"? I work PT in retail and spent as much time as possible loving on my grandchildren).
