Over mijn bibliotheek

My own library, as displayed on this platform, contains mostly those books I've got as a present over the years or bought myself out of curiosity, love or spontaneious need for read whilst travelling with trains. I still love public libraries, old and often-used books with coffestains in it which show me the book was too good to be put aside to eat, sleep or take a bath. So the 'read but unowned'-collection will soon start to grow much much bigger then the 'your own' collection - even if I think that all the books I've read are somehow my own, because they - well, many - became a part of me.

Over mij

As a young kid, teenager and now again after finishing university, I've always read a lot. Really a lot - everything to be honest. Luckily, there wasn't just a big library in town but also a librarymobile in form of an old bus, which held patiently right in the middle of my hometown village every week to be plundered by me and other never satisfied reading-junkies.
I've studied something which roughly translates to 'bookscience'. Sounds awesome, right? Well, it isn't anything about what's inside books but rather the economy, booktrade and especially the history of early bookprinting. But you know what - now I can enjoy books even more as a whole. There is a lot of work in it, be it trivial, highliterature, e-Book oder Hardcover. This platform I think is a great way to show and discover personal taste, new authors and books and, of course, organize all the important books in my live.
