Over mijn bibliotheek
The love of learning, the sequestered nooks,
And all the sweet serenity of books.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow - 1807-1882
Over mij
I am everything I have ever read.

What can I say - I have such a passion for reading. I always have a book at hand and stack just waiting to be devoured. To me, not reading is like not breathing; I cannot stop. Over the years my tastes have evolved. Right now I am deep in the middle of devoting myself to historial non-fiction, especially anything that satiates the Anglophile in me. There isn't too much that I won't read, although I don't find myself reading westerns, romance, or sci-fi novels. Having said that, I have a deep respect for Ray Bradbury (his novels are so beautifully written) and novels such as "Little, Big" and "Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrell" (I never wanted that one to end). It's an old saying, but so true - So many books, so little time. My recommendations for readers include the authors Robertson Davies (especially "Fifth Business" and "The Cunning Man") and Nicholas Basbanes ("A Gentle Madness" is a must-read for any true bibliophile).
