I've been a lover of books for as long as I can remember. In grammar school, the Scholastic Book Club was where I first discovered my passion for reading. My parents supported me by allowing me to purchase books from the Club and there was no limit. Additionally, I looked forward to my turn as library aide at Harrison School and Perley Elementary so I could read the inside covers of all of the books as I returned them to the shelves. The antics of Ramona Quimby in Beverly Cleary's "Ramona" series was one of my favorites as well as the suspenseful "Boxcar Children" series created and written by Gertrude Chandler Warner.
