UCSD LGBT Resource Center
Over mijn bibliotheek
The LBGT Recourse Center Rainbow Library at UCSD is a resource for members of the LBGT community and its allies. These resources are to provide education about the LGBT community including information regarding health, coming out, and support for relatives and friends and more. With the use of multiple mediums (i.e. DVDs, journals, books etc.), the library intends to shed light on the lived experiences of LGBT people and make visible the contributions of underrepresented groups within the LGBT community. It supports the history and culture of the community by purchasing books/films produced by LGBT people, whether or not the content is specifically LGBT related. The library also supports the local community both inside and outside of UCSD by purchasing books and other media from LGBT associated businesses and providers.
Over mij
The LGBT Resource Center at UCSD is a diverse, open and public space for all members of the university community to explore issues relating to sexual and gender identities, practices and politics. It develops student leadership, builds workplace equity, promotes academic research, and provides resources. The Center challenges existing definitions of variant genders and sexualities by engaging in community building on- and off-campus. This Center sustains and develops visibility, sense of community, and knowledge of diverse queer people. (Adopted October 7, 2001
