Over mijn bibliotheek
If I decide I like an author, I tend to ride it out all the way. Smatterings occur around the fringes: I'm beginning to bulk up my 18th century fiction to complement my Austen fixation (only 6 books and a bit of errata to do there and I don't usually bother with more than 3 copies of the same book). I enjoy the awfulnesss of Christian novels and relationship advice books, though only in small quantities.

I usually only buy books once I'm sure I'll want to read them more than once, so the diversity of my reading habits is obscured here by the fact that I returned most things I've read to the library.
Over mij
I'm finding I don't actually have as many books as I thought I did. I'll probably open a separate account to keep track of library books I've read, I guess, since this is way too much fun.

I read for fun but I'm fairly single-minded about what I think is fun sometimes. My favorite "genres" are obviously fantasy and YA literature, but I'm gobsmacked over Austen and love my collection of terrible Christian advice books and romance novels, which is spinning out into a collection of oddly titled cheap romance novels. Non-fiction (in my permanent library) tends to be instructional materials for my various hobbies - international cooking, traditional film photography, and various crafting projects that I'll never finish.
