Over mij

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes. I'm out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~M. Monroe. Welcome to the Mayhem.

Nomad by nature. Non-conformist. Earth friendly. Tolerant of other belief systems. Insatiable flirt. Quintessentially stubborn. Tend to be obtuse and lacking in tact, but honest. I can be theatrical, compulsive and competitive, but strive for balance in all things in spite of it. Persevering through Parkinson’s Disease (its a movement disorder), trigeminal neuralgia, and asthma, and I walk with a cane sometimes. It just means I deal with pain, but I don’t suffer if I can help it. Allergic to controversial issues and debates (and DRAMA) - I value facts far above opinion. I don't avoid politics but I don't buy into it, either. I have no time for users, losers or control freaks. I can't be bothered with people who don't like me - I won't be abused, manipulated or guilted - just consider the source. I simply just don't care.

My path is chosen and interwoven of diverse and open ways. I have many friends from all walks of life. I’m a firm believer in you don’t necessarily need a church or religion to be spiritual, a school to be educated, a political bending to be patriotic, or a fancy coffee house for fine coffee.

Currently I am taking a Paralegal course through Penn Foster (the 3rd course through this school) online. I love to dance (folk, Scottish Country, Cajun, Contra, Ballroom, Latin) though can’t do it anymore due to the PD; cook/bake (hold a certificate of gourmet cooking/catering for what that is worth); geneaology, garden (esp. herbs), homesteading; sew and design; knit/ crochet/ needlework; primitive crafts – scrimshaw, glass work/ beads, leatherwork, woodwork; modern crafts and arts (no, I am NOT an artist); reading- mostly sci fi/fantasy, psychology/ thought-belief structures subjects, and anything on Druidry; enjoy nature for what it is and respect it, and outdoor activities esp. Scottish Highland Festivals; historical reenactments (Renaissance, etc) and Sci Fi conventions.

I like Doctor Who (like I like to breathe), Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures, most all English Comedies, Old Musicals and Good clean comedies (Jackie Chan esp.) Religulous, Monty Python, Comedians like Jeff Dunham, George Carlin, and Eddie Izzard; Music (Celtic, classical-esp Vivaldi, Mozart, Pachelbel), some modern pop /rock /country if it’s clean), a capella (like Glad, Vocal Union and Barbershop Quartet), and some oldies. I am primarily a Sci-Fi/Fantasy fan with absolutely NO use for romance, horror or political/religeous nonsense.

I’ve had a stormy life and for many years learned to survive. Now I dance.
