Over mijn bibliotheek

I am Johan and Néa's library. They gave me my own room. My long-term goals are to take over the entire house.

I consist mainly of fiction, much of it science fiction and fantasy, and some non-fiction; linguistics, lit crit, and other stuff. And a few shelves of what is usually sold as "books of Irish interest".

As LibraryThing kindly informs me, compared to the average library I have significantly more books about: books, parapsychology & occultism, general religion, non-Christian religions, folklore, the Swedish language, botany, zoology, crafts, Swedish fiction, geography & travel, and European history.

And I have significantly fewer books about: moral & ethics, epistemology, theological doctrine, church theology, Spanish, maths, physics, medicin & health, business, American fiction, American history, and Asian history.

Over mij
Two Swedes, two terrorists of the species felis catus, a house and a number of books. If you see posts by us on Talk, they are almost (99%) certain to be written by Johan.

Johan's rating scale:

5 - This book is perfect. I will want to reread it several times.
4 1/2 - One of the best books I've read in a long time. I might even reread it (something I very rarely do).
4 - A very good book that I will recommend friends to read.
3 1/2 - A good book that I'm glad I read.
3 - A good book, but perhaps not very memorable.
2 1/2 - An OK book, but I will recommend to my friends that they skip it. Life is short.
2 - Not a very good book. I might or might not have finished it, depending on circumstances.
1 1/2 - A bad book, but with some qualities. I didn't finish it. (If I did, it was because of a promise to a friend, a promise to review it, etc.)
1 - A very bad book. I really disliked it and stopped reading it after just a few pages.
1/2 - Horrible. One of the worst books I've tried to read as an adult.
