I have a penchant for literary fiction, so that's what dominates my shelves. When I read non-fiction, I usually go for essays like David Foster Wallace's and Michael Chabon's. I am, though, open to just about anything as long as the characters pull me in and the story is engaging.

If I could choose, I would spend the rest of my life buried in a book while on a train to a new travel destination. Reading and travel are my passions, and I love being swept away to new locations in life and in fiction. I especially love combining these two passions and using the fiction I read as travel guides to the places I go. It's so great when stories lead you to a place or when a place leads you to a story.
