Over mijn bibliotheek: It's a real mix of things - mystery, classic literature, comedies, kid stuff, you name it! I have been collecting my books since I could begin to read, so there isn't any particular direction in which my library tends to move. Since I am an IR major and a die-hard Russophile, I will be trying to catalogue my books on those themes (in the beginning).
Over mij: am a postgraduate in International Relations, at the moment spending my time looking for a (relatively) decent-paying job in the development sector. My academic and professional interests lie in the socio-political issues and minority rights concerns in Russia and Eastern Europe. While having studied Russian history, literature and cinema in university, the actual 'hands-on' life-changing experience for me was the volunteer work I undertook in Ukraine in 2003. I have since concentrated on human rights and democracy issues in CIS countries, and have basic Russian language skills, which I hope - one day - to perfect :)
