I have no idea how many books I own. There are boxes packed away,my shelves are creaking. I don't think I'm going to list every single book. Only those I picked personally and which mean something to me.I wonder if I should also list the classics because as a postgraduate in English literature I have all the standards of poetry, drama, criticism.So the ones up here are the favourites, those that I would reread. No guide books,reference books, cookbooks(unless they're special) or trivia either.No point listing every last volume just to impress with numbers. Much of my collection attached themselves to me like barnacles (they were passed on in bulk or were sent for review or ..) This exercise would also show me which ones I would give away when I finally thin out my shelves.
