Over mijn bibliotheek

I guess it's eclectic. I'm trying to start adding more fiction to my library. I've read a lot of books that I don't own, usually because I got them from the library, borrowed them from friends, or traded on PaperbackSwap.com.

It's actually a dream of mine to own a grand library. Forget the Kindle. I love the look and smell of a book. I love the way the book feels in my hands, the turning of the pages. It's intimate.

Over mij

I like to write, mostly poetry. I love my Mac, but sometimes I miss sitting at my desk, banging on the typewriter keys, coffee and cigarette nearby. (Just coffee now.)

I love to read. I usually read a lot of non-fiction - whatever interests me. But lately, I've been reading more fiction. There are certain "classics" I had to read in high school that I love to this day (others, not so much), and I like books that remind me of those. Mainly those were Frankenstein, 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, etc.

I like mostly "literary stuff". Love the "confessional" poets. As for genre fiction, I like mysteries, thrillers, horror, young adult, and some Sci Fi.
