I recently moved across the country, giving away or selling much of my library. Still, even the pared-down library filled 18 boxes to be mailed. I'd like to think that what I kept was the treasures, but of course there are some things I got rid of that I now miss, and other books that I'm wondering why I kept. I read a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction, from romance to fantasy to current affairs.

I'm a journalist and aspiring novelist living in the Midwest. I majored in modern languages in college and still have lots of foreign language dictionaries and textbooks. I love writing of all kinds, all genres.
