Over mijn bibliotheek
One of my main areas of interest is narrative, and I'm especially interested in works that deviate from or otherwise complicate my understanding of "standard" narrative structure. Plus I like stuff that is just plain weird.

A lot of the reviews I post over here originally appeared in slightly different form over at my blog Raccoon (http://www.imaginaryyear.com/raccoon). That blog tends to be pretty free-ranging in the topics it covers: people interested in the book material only can find it aggregated at Raccoon Books (http://raccoonbooks.blogspot.com)
Over mij
I am a Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I earned an MFA in Fiction from the University of Arizona in 1999, and in the intervening years I've worked on a long piece of serialized Web fiction, and a poetry manuscript written entirely in the state between sleep and wakefulness. I'm currently at work on an indulgent lineated novel featuring so many characters that it may have to begin with an index.
