As a child, James P. Joule was insatiably curious about science. From shooting off his own eyebrows to delivering electrical shocks to his younger brother, he took an unorthodox approach to studying his favorite subject.

James was a bright child, and a very active and hands-on learner. As an adult, his research placed him among the greatest names in the field of thermophysics. The scientific unit of energy, the Joule, was named in his honor.

At The Joule School, we serve hands-on, curious kids like him. We believe that these children have exceptional potential, and want to develop their natural love of learning into exceptional academic achievement.

Our program offers Logic, Engineering, and Destination Imagination electives in addition to an interdisciplinary, classics-based curriculum. No ordinary private school, this is a place for kids who need to build, debate, and experiment while they learn.
