A friend of mine once told me that my bookcases are where books go to die. I immediately argued that this was not true, but looking back on it he may have had a point. Once I'm finished with a book it goes on to the bookcase and I rarely interact with it again. I'm oddly comforted by its presence but I don't pay it the attention it deserves. I'm hoping that my virtual library will give me a way to interact with my actual library.

My library is all over the place, but then again so am I sometimes. Some of these are books that I had to read for class, or that were given to me. Some are books that I used to enjoy when I was younger and am vaguely embarrassed that I still own. Others are books that I love and adore - books that years after I have read them make me smile, or better yet make me think. Regardless of where they came from, or how I feel about them now, I don't think that any of them should be forgotten (although I fear it's too late for some).
