Over mijn bibliotheek: I don't have much of a library, I am ashamed to say. I used to read mostly non-fiction, then I read nothing but the Bible for 15-20 years, and now I am reading for enjoyment. Actually, I mostly listen - to books on ipod or CD while I'm driving. Living in west Texas it takes a lot of driving to get anywhere, and listening to books makes the driving easier. I feel a bit of a failure for shunning the classics, but I like bloody crime books. That's about all I can say about that.
Over mij: I am a 52-year old Irish/Cherokee transplanted from Oklahoma to Texas where I work for a family-owned oil and gas company. I put deals together, buy production, minerals, royalties, leases, and get land prepared for drilling. I have been doing this for 30 years and have loved every minute of it (well almost every minute). I believe that the oil and gas industry is one of the least understood and most unfairly maligned of any industry that exists today. Day in and day out, drilling oil and gas wells is one of the riskiest ventures going. Yes, Bill O'Reilly, you "popinjay", it really is.
