Over mijn bibliotheek
My virtual LibraryThing library is only a sample of my actual library which is, naturally, composed of books by writers whose work I love and they are, for the most part, works of fiction: very often the fiction that has inspired my own writing or been connected with my own writing. And poetry. But there are some books in my real library that I have never read. And some that I have bought twice (because I never read the first one)! When I realise I've got two copies of the same book, one goes to the local charity shop but still, often, the first doesn't get read. Odd, that, isn't it? I have no idea why I do that not-reading-and-continuing-to-buy thing.

For the love of stories, probably. And for discovery, one day ... .
Over mij
My first novel, SPEAKING of LOVE, a story about what happens when we fail to find the courage to say the things that matter the most, was published in hardback in March 2007, in paperback in February 2008, but is now only available as an eBook, after its publishers, Beautiful Books, went out of business: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Speaking-Love-Angela-Young-ebook/dp/B00G4401G4.

My second novel, THE DANCE of LOVE, a historical romance set between 1899 and 1919 http://www.angela-young.co.uk/books/thedanceoflove/, was published by Buried River Press now owned by Crowood Press http://www.crowood.com/details.asp?isbn=9781910208038&t=The-Dance-of-Love in July, 2014. My third novel is a work in progress, for the moment called For the Love of Life.

I began writing fiction long before my first novel was published and if all I did in the world was read, write and talk (and eat and drink, obviously) I would be very happy. But, equally obviously, there are more delightful things in life than just those four ... or five.

My website is www.angela-young.co.uk where I also blog (in the column section http://www.angela-young.co.uk/column/) about writing, life and things I'd like to have made (in a parallel universe where all things are possible).
