I enjoy suspense thrillers, mysteries and almost any well-written travel writing. I love Pico Iyer, Stephen King, Nelson DeMille, Roger Smith and Kyle Mills. In fact, I'll read almost anything if it's well written, but don't care much for fantasy or romance (and never zombies!).

I'm the Mexico Correspondent for International Living Publications. I spend most of my time exploring hidden gems in Latin Americaand then writing about them. I've been happily married for almost 30 years and I'm from the US originally, though I've been living abroad for more than 17 years.

As a writer, I appreciate how much effort goes into writing a good book - it's enormous! If I receive a book for free, I'll always review it. I consider it to be a gift from the author to me, and that's a very fair quid pro quo.
