I'm more or less an Anglophile; my primary love is pre-WWII Brit lit (Or anything SET in the 1920's and back). I enjoy a number of modern authors: Anthony Burgess, Anthony Powell, Bret Easton Ellis and Thomas Pynchon are all great. I'm a big fan of John Cheever and Scott Fitzgerald's short stories, along with anything by Nancy Mitford, Ian Fleming, and Evelyn Waugh. My favorite book is probably Dickens' The Pickwick Papers, or Pynchon's Mason & Dixon (tho oddly I never warmed to Against the Day). I have pretty eccentric taste, though I'm a sucker for Historical fiction (and plain history) and any mystery that takes place in an English country house.
