Over mijn bibliotheek
major collection areas should stand out:

japanese literature, nobel prize winners, key feminist texts from the first wave to post-feminism, second generation romantics (minus keats), poetry in general (am about to attempt a collection of all of first editions of Larkin's work), attempting modern firsts of japanese classics (i have three first edition Mishimas now), craft, and general lit-fic. a little bit of genre fiction (more sci-fi than fantasy now, which has changed as i've mellowed with age). art books. miscellany that takes my fancy. odd cultural studies texts. books about teen queerness in girls. recently started working on more American 20th century literature.
Over mij
i work at the national library of australia as an archivist, and feel lucky every time i walk up those big steps at the front of that beautiful building.

i'm working at being less precious with my books, and allowing them to get dirty sometimes. it's harder than you'd think.

i am: a feminist, a book-slut, an art-school-recoverer, a librarian/archivist, and a cat/bunny/lizard owner. i would likely call myself a crazy cat lady, proudly.
