Over mijn bibliotheek
I don't think that Owning Lots Of Stuff is something to be proud of. It's what's in your head that counts, not what's on your shelf.

Unfortunately, I do own almost all of these, although I'm trying to list books I used to own, or that I borrowed from a library, or that I read furtively in the bookstore before slinking out in shame.

I like my fiction illustrated (i.e. as comic books). I would prefer my non-fiction illustrated as well, but we're still in the dark ages as far as that goes. Someday I hope to write the first great comic textbook.

I'm interested in how people learn and understand knowledge. To that end, I like reading about education, as well as design: information design, graphic design, industrial design, game design, interface design. I'm also very interested in the history of science and mathematics, and to some degree, the history of societies. I end up reading a lot of pop sci and computer science books as well.

Books that have changed my life: "The Inmates Are Running The Asylum" by Alan Cooper... "The Visual Display of Quantitative Information" by Edward Tufte... "Cradle to Cradle" by McDonough and Braungart... "Mindstorms" by Seymour Papert... "Technopoly" by Neil Postman.

Someday I will write a book that changes someone's life.
