Book tastes

I have been enjoying novels set in the 19th century lately and would like more in the same vein. Some of the authors I like are Jane Harris and Sarah Waters. I like contemporary novels as well.

Don't get this!

I'm not a fan of Young Adult, sci-fi or westerns.

saroz: NikkiMo seems to like the same sort of big lit books I do, just without overt fantasy elements. So for choices that are more or less straight modern lit set in the 19th century I would recommend Michel Faber's "The Crimson Petal and the White" and Sarah Perry's "The Essex Serpent."
