Are you still with us?

I wrote over 2.5k words today which I was pleased with but then I had to stop for the day as my left eyeball was throbbing in a strange way!

I'm pushing the 40K word mark. I keep hoping it is suddenly going to get easier but I'm still finding quite hard work! Having fun though (in a masochistic sort of way).

I have the winner's lounge prepared. Snacks and drinks abound, as do comfy chairs, wrist wraps, and anything else one needs to relax. Mind numbing cheese novels also await. :>

We're down to the final days. Let's go! Let's Go! Let's Go!

I'm at 39k words now, and I need 3000 a day to win; but I feel strangely confident that I'll succeed. (Even though I still need 2000 words for today.)

Hi, y'all ~ As you may have guessed, I've dropped out of the competition this year. I'm having some personal issues and just wasn't finding it fun. Or doable. BUT I'm watching your progress and joining with Gilroy in cheering you on to the winner's purple bar! Go, go! Rah, rah, rah!!!!

Gilroy, need any help preparing the winners' lounge? I've got some lovely pumpkin spice cheesecake I could bring, and some soothing herbal teas.

Congratulations, Brian!
I'll continue to write until the finish but there is hardly any chance I'll reach 50,000 words. I have learned a lot about what to do to be better prepared next year. And, I have a whole lot more respect for writers now!

Welcome to the Winner's lounge, Brian!

*Confetti falls from ceiling* We have books and snacks for relaxing, as well as calming teas and anything else to help you relax after this mad rush.

Storeetllr, I need help resetting the confetti for the next winner. :>

This has been a really crazed year for me. Lots of nice writing, but a number of real life things gone wrong. I wrote because it was a good way to escape.

But even so, sure glad it's almost done!

Welcome to the winner's lounge Golux and Lady Clare
*Confetti falls! Lots of it!*

We have an open couch in the corner. Plenty of tea.
Maid service is on back order. Something about too many NaNo participants ordering it...

Last day! Hope everyone found NaNoWriMo as much fun as I do. Win or lose, you certainly learn something about yourself, about writing, and about your priorities!

Housework, for me, at absolute bottom of my priority pile.

Gilroy, the amenities in the winners' lounge were exquisite! Thanks to all for all the fun and shared woes. See you all again next year -- I can't wait!

I'm considering trying Script Frenzy in April and seeing if any students will get on board. Are there any LTers interested?

#16

I've been taking the many past years of participating to perfect my lounge set up. :>

I think I saw that Zette also won! Yeah for her! Did we get any other winners?

Alas, not I.

I noticed in the signature of some participants a mention of a July challenge. Does anyone know anything about this? I couldn't find anything on their website. I thought I would wait until things settled before emailing and asking them.

I didn't finish either, but congratulations to all who did! Yay!!

The office of Letters and Light doesn't sponser the July challenge, its run independent of the NaNo site. I believe that their only other challenge is April, when they do Script Frenzy.

Do you know who does sponsor the July challenge?

Well you could knock me over with a feather. I Googled and found a complete list of NaNo wannabes. One cool looking one is MangO. I wish I could draw!

Here is the July one:

I've taken part in it and several people at Forward Motion do it every year.
