Thought I'd give everyone a chance to vent about 'the big one'. I admit, I probably have the least to complain about so I won't, I'll just mention the uniqueness for my location.
I live in south Texas where lows in the summer can stay around 80. This week we get 4 nights with lows in the mid 20's (sorry folks up north) and snow in the forcast for Friday. We did have a white Christmas in '04 (5 in.) so snow is not unheard of here, but quite rare.
So throw another log on the fire, grab a book, a blanket, your favorite adult beverage and try to enjoy.

For the record, it has warmed up to a balmy -18 degrees F today with a WC factor of about -37F.
I'll take Texas anyday.

It's not too bad temperature-wise here in Indiana. We're more worried about the potential for another 1/2 to 1 inch of ice tonight adding to the 1/2 inch we got last night.

Ice storms can be really bad.
Not too cold here in Upstate South Carolina. (40 F and rain.)

Here in north-central Alberta as of noon, it's a balmy -18C (-1F) but with the windchill it's -26C (-15F).
Environment Canada predicts a high of -7C (19F), but I'll believe it when I feel it. ;)

5: Believe it or not, that makes me feel better. I'm in Sask, so warmer weather should be on the way lol

I actually need to find one of my light jackets... High 50s at the moment -- feels a bit higher out in the sun but out of the sun is quite chilly. At least not raining today (Phoenix, AZ)
Considering that I was still back in Bulgaria last winter (and there it can get cold and snowy and icy), I feel pretty happy despite the rain.

Well, we are warming up here (it's better than Sunday and Monday anyway), so hopefully the warming trend will move in your direction!

It's -6F here today, -28 with the windchill. We're supposed to have one more day of frigid weather and then a bit of a reprieve.

38C here with a category 1,000,000 cyclone up north about to wipe out the top of the continent.

It's at freezing with rain, sleet, ice pellets, etc. coming down. What's scary is the icicles on our wires.

I live in southwest Louisiana on the border of texas and it is 30 F here and it feels like 23 F.

It was almost 70 degrees here in NC today. lol. what happened to winter?! I'm ok with it though, ready to ditch the coats and jackets and move on to warmer things. I'm not looking forward to mid-summer though, its deadly hot here.

I prefer the cold after all you can put on all you want, in the summer there only so much to take off.

Depends on how cold. If I need to protect my nose and cheeks from the cold, I prefer 110F honestly...

If its too cold I just refuse to get out of bed :) cant have too many warm blankets protecting tender noses and cheeks!
((full disclosure:: some days i might refuse to get out of bed, no matter what the weather is.))

#18 What a lovely description! I'm in UK and it's a sunny day, about 8°C so our words are just floating gently around.

When Arizona's temperatures are under the freezing point, something is very very wrong in that world. Although at least the Sun showed up today so it is not that bad.
