Ah, we've come a long way, my friends and novelists.

35k words in the tank, with just 15,000 left to go. Supplies are running low, caffeine is in short supply and crankiness ensues. Watch out for little fingers trying to steal your chocolate as relatives come for the Turkey Holiday in the US.

Just a short stretch to go. Come on and push through that wall!

The Winner's Lounge Awaits!

About 6,500 words left to go to 50K. I'm beginning to slow down though, instead of a marathon session, i'm just trying to find bits and pieces of writing time. i'm aiming for a 70K first draft, so current goals are to get to 50K take a deep breath, a nap, and finish some other smaller writings and then get back to it in december..so close, hopefully i'll saunter into the winner's lounge later this week.

I'd like to see anyone try to steal my dark chocolate covered caramels with sea salt from Trader Joe's. It wouldn't be pretty. Those are my extra special rewards for when I reach my daily goal (whatever that may be on any particular day). I get two morsels if I go over (even by one word). So far, I have six left out of 12. (Not a good sign for my word count. lol)

I should have about 30,000 by Wed. night, and then I plan three marathon sessions Fri, Sat. & Sun when I hope to write 5,000+ words a day, which will leave me with only 5,000 to write between Monday and Wed. Piece o' cake (esp. since I'm taking Wed. off work so I can write all day on the last day of NaNo ~ just in case, you know?).

Debated creating a new thread, but didn't feel it worth it for two days.

Whoa, did I create panic writing? JUST TWO DAYS LEFT FOLKS!

Eeeep! Okay, okay, two days. *deep breath, deep breath* I can do it. After writing over 15k words during the 4-day holiday weekend, 8k of it on Saturday & 5k of it on Sunday (oh, my aching wrists and worn out fingers!), leaving me with only 5k words to write, I can do anything. lol
