I'd like to get some suggestions for Christmas-themed novels for a book group made up of mostly older women that meet at a liberal church.
I've read A Redbird Christmas and A Christmas Carol and could recommend them, but I'd like to read something new.
Skipping Christmas is a possible but I don't know if there would be enough to talk about. I doubt they would like Hogfather or The Stupidest Angel.
Any ideas?

Anti-suggestion: Not Christmas, Present by Jacquelyn Mitchard. Depressing.

Not a novel, but a collection of short stories: This Year it Will Be Different by Maeve Binchy. I would think the stories here would be great fodder for discussion, though I found many of them to be depressing.

A Covington Christmas by Joan Medicott is one I read a few years back and found it to be a quick, warm-hearted read.

Donna VanLiere's books are always nice Christmas stories. There's a whole series of them. Most are rated 3.5 or higher on LibraryThing. We always have a fight between the women in our library as to who gets to check her book out first when it arrives each year.
