Has anybody else read this besides me? I love this book, by the way :D

I read this as a teenager and have read it probably 8 times since. I've also read all the sequels.

Yeah, I've read it. Mainly because it's one of my mother's favorite classics, so I thought I'd give it a chance. It was... OK. I wasn't blown away by it.

Not for about 40 years. I suspect it would be a disappointment to reread it.

I enjoyed it many years ago, and my daughter did more recently. So much so that she's read all the sequels, too, which I haven't.

I read this about 5 years ago, probably because I aways liked Zorro, and the Scarlet Pimpernel may be the original Zorro-type figure. I really liked it. There's also a movie, made in the 30's or so, which is pretty funny.

I read this last summer, and did follow up with two of her other Pimpernel books. I liked it but then again I had already loved the movie (with Leslie Howard). I agree with the previous poster that Zorro and the Scarlet Pimpernel have a lot in common.

Have you read any of Laurel Willig's books, somewhat spoofing Orczy? The Pink Carnation I think is the first one of the series...
