Finally, here is the November TIOLI ‘2012 has 12 months’ sub-challenge of the The 12 in 12 Category Group!

Eligible works:

- Work titles containing the word November, topaz and /or citrine (the birthstone), Scorpio and / or Sagittarius (the Zodiac sign), chrysanthemum
(the flower) or eleven, 11, eleventh, 11th

- Books by authors with any of these words in their name?

- Books with a character named Scorpio or Crysanthemum? well, maybe Topaz?

- 11th books in series,11th books written by authors and so on

I don't think we are going to find too many authors with these words so I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!

I'm starting the month with November 22, 1963 by Adam Braver.

I'm planning to read 11/22/63 by Stephen King. I think that should count.

I think the only eligible books in my TBR pile or on my wishlist are Judaism: A Very Short Introduction, the ELEVENTH VSI and Portobello by Ruth Rendell, published by Arrow (and Sagittarius is the Archer, bit of a stretch I know).

Here's one for you. I probably won't get to it this month but you never know. Joseph Persico's book about the end of World War 1. Eleventh Month, Eleventh Day, Eleventh Hour.

I've decided on November Ever After a story about the football team tragedy in Marshall, WV in 1970.

im going to cheat a bit again and bend the eligibility rules :) im reading house of silk by anthony horowitz...i believe the story took place (or started, at least) in November.

I'm actually starting the month with Gone Til November which I am enjoying tremendously!

This morning I finished Heart Secret which is the eleventh book in Robin D. Owens Celta series. Not really read with November in mind but I'll probably count it if I don't come up with something else.

have to say...this has been the hardest month in terms of this challenge. took me weeks looking for something that fits (or that i can force to fit) into this category that is also of interest to me :)

if anyone's looking for some suggestions, how about:

A search on November in the local public library turned up a number of books about the assassination of JFK for those who like such books.

#7 The one about the Marshall tragedy sounds good. I'll have to look for that one. I enjoy reading disaster books.

I have on order from the library, Journey to Topaz a juvenile fiction books about an eleven year old Japanese-American girl and her family as they are evacuated and relocated to camp in Nevada during World War II.

I will be reading - starting tomorrow - the play November by David Mamet. Its supposed to be a political satire set in the month of November during a presidential election year.

Just finished Purple Cane Road, 11th book in the Dave Robicheaux series by James Lee Burke. Typical outing in the series, but I especially loved the ending!

Currently reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King. Very good so far.

My November TIOLI-book was Jupiter's Bones, which is the 11th in its series, but it wasn't very good, unfortunately. Hoping that #12 - that I'm reading for the December TIOLI - is a lot better.

Ok - Here's the right post: I read November Ever After by Craig T Greenlee for my November read about the plane crash in November, 1970 which killed the Marshall University football team. Mr Greenlee was a member of the 68/69 football teams and so knew many of the players killed. He's put together a recolection of what was happening at Marshall during this time and the reaction of the many friends and family left as well as some information on the rebuilding of the team.

OK, final tally for me for this November thread is three books:
