I'm starting to run into issues with finding some of the books on the list. I live in the Chicago metro area and our suburban library is part of a network of other libraries in the area, so I have access to a lot of books. I've searched the suburban library system as well as Amazon both US and UK. I'm reading the 0-3 books in order and I cannot locate some of them. I would appreciate any information anyone can provide on the following.

Little Brown Bear by Claude Lebrun - Is there an initial book called Little Brown Bear or is 1001 Children's Books... referring to the series of Little Brown Bear books? I've inferred from the page on it (pg. 39 in the 2009 edition) that there is one book that a series then follows, but I could also infer that the entry is referring to 52 books. I don't think I will read all 52 if it is the latter.

Little Spook's Baby Sister by Inger Sandberg - This one appears to be out of print in English. I can't locate it in any sources mentioned above.

Fly, Little Bird by Francesco Tullio Altan - I can't determine if this one was ever published in English.

That's all I have had difficulty locating so far. Please feel free to add any other books that you are seeking. If you know of a place to get some of these books, please provide that too.

The Little Brown Bear, the first book, I know of no others, was published in 1942. It will be difficult to get your hands on a copy of that.

I'm doing the same thing, reading them in order. In Toronto, I'm lucky to have the Osborne collection of children's books at the Public Library. But I'm having the same troubles as you!

Petit ours brun mange son oeuf by Lebrun, Claude and Bour, Danièle
- This is the first title in the Little Brown Bear series of books. However, each book is only a handful of diagrams. There are 53 of them collected in the "Treasury": Les trésors de Petit Ours brun. Each "book" is two pages!

Little Spook's Baby Sister by Inger & Lasse Sandberg
- I can't find this to borrow in English (Ghost Godfrey series), and it's too expensive to buy. I ordered this in Swedish via Amazon, and will use Google translate.

Fly, Little Bird - Francesco Tullio Altan Vola Uccellino
- I can't find this in English. I ordered this in Italian via Amazon, and will use Google translate.
