Hmm, I have one cookbook with recipes from 14th and 15th century and tried some of the recipes. Basically include almonds, herbs and honey and you are halfway there.

#2, would that be A Medieval Feast? Agreed on the almonds, herbs and honey. I guess anything to get rid of the gamey flavors...
