Can't figure out how to combine book with no author listed + book with correct author listed

Sorry, I looked at the wiki page on combining and didn't find it helpful. It instructed me to click on "Editions" on the Work page, but then said "None recommended" under possible books to combine, and I didn't see anything to click that would let me do this.

Here is the book with no author listed: http://www.librarything.com/work/6103382/editions

Here is the book I want to combined it with: http://www.librarything.com/work/2091278/editions/30123121

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks! Just for my own information, did I miss something.... or was something strange going on?

You can usually get these by adding the name of the author in other authors. Then afterwards you have to take it out again.

Nope, you didn't miss anything, and nothing strange was going on (well, nothing I haven't seen lots before). Sometimes such works will show up as potentials from the editions page, other times not, sometimes the potential appears on only one of the works' editions pages, sometimes there are no potentials despite a common ISBN, other times I see no rhyme or reason for the potential ... mysteries of the LibraryThingaverse!

In this case I did it the way MarthaJeanne said in #4.

So, where is the link to this wiki page or how can I combine books? I always forget how to combine books.

Work combining has gotten much easier since the introduction of the workbench, which is down in the Advanced box on the right side of work pages. Just click add to workbench on all the works you want to combine and then follow the onscreen instructions.

>10 Bettesbooks: That was a response from back in 2013, before we had the workbench. Had to do that in order to make the connection. With the workbench, that step is no longer necessary.

>11 gilroy: Thanks for your response. I was afraid I had been doing it wrong. I didn't even note the date of the message.
