Can anyone tell me how to find the titles that are most wishlisted on BM? I thought there was a way but I can't find it. I'd like to screen books available to post and prioritize the ones that are most desired. Thanks in advance, moochers.

On the "browse" page there's a link to "most wishlisted books", or see if this link works:
http://bookmooch.com/m/top/wishlist

It doesn't seem to be in any particular order.

Remember that wishlists from long dormant accounts are included, so I would double check that their are *active* members looking for books that you are contemplating posting.

Thanks, just what I was looking for. Wouldn't have thought to get there from "browse" as that's where I go when I want to get a book, not when I want to get rid of one.

Aware of the dormant account issue. But I can't check a couple of hundred accounts for each possible book. I'll just consider these most-wishlisted as being better candidates for quick mooches than books that aren't most-wishlisted but won't get my hopes up. It's a screening tool to decide which books to post now. I don't want to maintain a large inventory so I'm only going to post a few books and need to decide which ones.

If you have entered your books in LT, you can use it to check the demand for a book. Not 100% accurate, but it's good for a quick check.

I used to pick up books to post on BookMooch from a big annual book sale here, where books are sold by the bagful. I gave that up as books listed as being on numerous wish lists would sit unclaimed. There are so many inactive accounts with active wish lists. Maybe list your newest books?

5> Not a bad work-around, but I don't want to enter the books on LibraryThing. That's an extra step. So far, my simple system resulted in one quick mooch out of 2 books posted.

And now the second book mooched. So, based on this very limited sample size (2 books), the simple system works.

I've never had a problem getting books mooched. I always try to list those that are in very good condition (albeit with BookCrossing labels in them) and are at least on someone's wishlist.

I do keep my inventory at 0-3 books and only list more after I've decided to mooch a few. This system works well for me as well.

Some of my books sit in my inventory for years. Most of those are books I got thru FreeCycle. Every so often one gets mooched, so I keep them posted, but I'm running out of storage space. I wonder if deleting them and re-posting would help throughput, or if that would get me in bad with the admins.

I have never heard about any rule that one cannot empty one's inventory and repost some or all of the books. I can't imagine the admins would take any notice of such activity unless someone else complained and I can't imagine why anyone would complain.
