Anyone here listen to the Ed Schultz Show (America's #1 Progressive Talker)? This site provides station listings: http://www.wegoted.com/

I don't really listen to Ed Schultz, but I do listen to Randi Rhodes. Randi's show is always put together using sources that are well-cited, and she's very good at connecting the dots, not just reacting to news items. If I want to learn something, I listen to Randi Rhodes.

I have a hard time with even progressive talk radio -- all the spouting and shouting -- and those damn commercials. I just cannot tolerate it, old fogey that I am. I hate to be shouted at, even if I agree with the shouter.

I listen to Randi Rhodes too, sometimes Thom Hartmann and Stephanie Miller also.

I enjoy listening to Rachel Maddow and Thom Hartmann on Air America Radio. I like Randi Rhodes and agree with most of what she espouses, however her shouting can get shrill and irritating at times. In any case, I've switched from driving to a park and ride lot to taking the bus, so I don't get to listen to talk radio anymore.

#5: Ah, but there is such a thing as netcasting/podcasting if you don't get a chance to listen to the radio broadcast. Thom Hartmann has freely downloadable mp3 archives of his show on his official website, and Randi Rhodes' shows are available for free at The White Rose Society and the Randi Rhodes "Illegal" Archives websites. They're particularly useful when I don't have the chance to listen to the whole show live.

I live in Houston, Texas. For the most part here even the word 'liberal' is a faux pas. We do have Ed Schultz though... scratch that. He's not on the air here anymore. I guess they needed to make more room for Sean Hannity. How depressing!

For some reason, we do have a Pacifica station. I do not think it is scientifically possible to get more progressive than that. (Even if our station does play way too much music... at least we have one.)

>7 jseger9000: yah and someone took a shot at your Pacifica station a few days ago, narrowly missed the on air program host. More info here

Oh yeah, that's been quite a thing here (if you listen to Pacifica, no one else seems to be covering it).

They have to cover the windows to their broadcasting studio. Transform their building into some kind of liberal bunker.

Why did I ever move away fromSoCal I keep asking myself...

An increasing number of progressive radio hosts are moving from Pacifica to the Progressive Radio Network, fastest growing radio network in North America:

Examples include Sonali Kohatkar of Pacifica, and Gary Null, PhD, the noted documentary filmmaker, author, radio host, public speaker and health researcher.

Does PRN do podcasts? I'm in England and enjoy listening to this sort iof thing when on the move. Since Air America went under I've lost track of American talk radio of the non-barking mad variety.
